Whispering Garden

This environment evolved from an initial sketch and blockout into a fully realized, game-ready scene. The progression from early structure to final polish reflects a strong focus on composition, atmosphere, and technical execution.
These screenshots showcase the full development process, including in-game renders, detailed lighting studies, and wireframe breakdowns to highlight modeling decisions and optimization.
Built entirely in Unreal Engine 5, the project explores real-time interaction between VFX particles, dynamic lighting, and shadow work to create a cohesive and believable atmosphere. Each element was carefully balanced to maintain visual harmony while respecting performance constraints.
Ambient sound and music (credits to Hideyuki Hashimoto) enhance the immersive experience and reinforce the emotional tone of the scene.
The water shader was developed specifically for this project, prioritizing visual coherence, subtle surface motion, and real-time efficiency.
